Free visit of Fénelon Castle

The unguided tour is made using explanatory panels on the outside and in all rooms of the castle. We have translations in English, German, Italian, Dutch and Spanish. The ticket office closes 1 hour before the castle closes. There is no online reservation.

Château de Fénelon

Dominating the Dordogne Valley, the fortress (XIII° and XVII° centuries) kept intact its fortified enclosures and its imposing lauze roof. A moving tribute is paid to Fénelon, Archbishop-duc of Cambrai, Academician, Prince of the Holy Empire, famous author of the adventures of Telemaque and tutor of the little children of Louis XIV. The visitor will be surprised by the quality of the collections of weapons, furniture and works of art presented in this private and still inhabited site.
