Vesunna Gallo-Roman site-museum
With a concept unique in Europe and bold architecture by Jean Nouvel, the Vesunna site-museum presents the Roman origins of Périgueux on the remains of a large Gallo-Roman residence, the domus de Vésone. Exceptional archaeological collections, complemented by models, tell the story of the ancient city and the way of life of its inhabitants, the Pétrucores. Outside, in the park, stands the imposing Tour de Vésone, the remains of an ancient Gallo-Roman temple.
