Perigord Military Museum
The Perigord Military Museum has been awarded the ‘Musée de France’ label by the French Ministry of Culture. It was founded in 1911 by veterans of the 1870 war to collect the memorabilia, documents, uniforms and equipment of Périgord soldiers from all wars over the past 110 years. Thanks to daily donations, it has since become a museum of military life in general, covering all the conflicts of the 19th and 20th centuries. It covers a period from the revival to 1995, when the last troops left the town of Périgueux. More than 13,000 objects are on display over 3 levels and 800 m².
